YEAR END GIFT
2024

As we approach the close of 2024, we want to share something we are incredibly excited about for 2025. During our Vision Night back in January, we talked about the possibility of a church plant in Lowell—a journey that God has been leading us on, much like the journey He led a few families on 18 years ago when they planted CrossPoint. Currently, we have two community groups meeting in Lowell, consisting of families from that community who are passionate about seeing the gospel take root there.

After much prayer and conversation, Jared and Kate Zandstra have responded to God’s call and have put their “yes” on the table to help plant a church in Lowell. Jared will be stepping out of his current role and stepping into a Church Plant Pastoral Residency here at CrossPoint. This will give him time for training and equipping to lead the Lowell plant while also serving ministries here at CrossPoint for a season.

For the past eight years, we’ve been praying for Lowell—praying for the gospel to flourish there. In Matthew 9:36-38, Jesus, seeing the crowds, was filled with compassion because they were harassed and helpless, “like sheep without a shepherd.” He then said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

We believe the time has come to prepare for the sending of laborers from CrossPoint to be a light in the Lowell community.

We invite you to join us in prayer as we move forward with this exciting step. Each year, we present opportunities for CrossPoint partners to give to specific ministry opportunities. This year, we are prioritizing the Lowell church plant and the resources needed to support Jared’s full-time role in 2025. Your generosity and partnership are vital in making this vision a reality.
