FIRST STEPS

Join us at our next First Steps Gathering! It’s a great way to connect with our CrossPoint community and is simply a chance for us to help you understand who we are as a church and why we do what we do - no need to commit to anything! A meal and childcare will be provided. When a First Steps Luncheon is scheduled, it is typically immediately following a Sunday service. To find out when the next one is coming up, visit our Events page. We will eat together, meet the lead pastor and elders, and learn about the mission and vision of Crosspoint Church. Partnership is what we call membership at Crosspoint.⁣⁣

Advancing the Gospel: We see partners at CrossPoint as co-laborers in advancing the Gospel in NorthWest Indiana and beyond.⁣⁣

BAPTISM

For Christians, baptism is a way to publicly declare what has already happened in our hearts.⁣

A Public Celebration: Baptism is a celebration proclaiming that we have died to our old life and been given new life in Jesus. It is the Biblical public expression of this life change. People are meant to know & see what Jesus has done in your life. He publicly died and was raised again for us – we are publicly to declare He is Lord and be baptized in His Name.⁣

COMMUNITY GROUPS

Each week, in homes throughout our area, small groups gather together to love each other, grow in the Gospel, and serve one another, our neighbors, cities, and beyond. Along with our weekly church services, being a part of a Community Group is another way we make disciples at Crosspoint Church.⁣

A Community Group is made up of 8-20 people who attend Crosspoint Church. We love it when groups are diverse in age, occupation, interests, and gifting but gel into something solid over a shared interest in Jesus! Community Groups generally meet at least once a week for two hours to care for each other and look for ways to continually be praying for one another. ⁣

SERVE

At Crosspoint Church, we intentionally rely on a community of volunteers who love Jesus and love to serve his church all for the sake of the Gospel. “For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve…” Mark 10:45⁣

Faithful Volunteers: If you have enjoyed a cup of coffee or refreshments before service, clean bathrooms stocked with toiletries, musicians on stage leading us in worship, a teacher in KidsPoint caring for your child, or any number of other ways—chances are you’ve been served by a faithful volunteer using their time and talents. ⁣

Areas To Serve⁣

  • KidsPoint: Crosspoint has been blessed with an incredible amount of children of all ages. Whether you like to hold babies or teach a Bible lesson, there are so many ways to get involved in CrossPoint’s children's ministry, KidsPoint.⁣

  • Hospitality: Whether you want to be the first smiling face someone sees when they walk in the doors on Sunday, or if you enjoy serving coffee, or even if you’d like to help folks find a seat… we can help you find the perfect area in which to serve. We also have various opportunities to serve throughout the year and individual CrossPoint events!⁣

  • Worship Team: Crosspoint has been blessed with incredible musicians and worship leaders, but there is always room for more. Whether you play the electric guitar or the violin, there is a place for you. Singers are included in this as well. This area of service isn't just asking for worship leaders, but seeking those whoIf have a heart for worship and ability to go along with it.⁣

  • Media Team: This is one of the greatest needs for the church. Media team includes running sound for the service, controlling the lights, running the camera, and directing the camera on the livestream for those watching at home. Even if you are just interested, there are people who will come alongside you and show you what needs to be done.⁣

  • Youth Group: Do you enjoy connecting with and leading students and teens? Come help disciple the next generation toward knowing Jesus - and have a ton of fun while you’re at it!Areas To Serve
